This weekend, I decided to take a break from my twists. I just wanted a different look to my hair so I styled my hair in finger coils. I really, really love the look J but this post is not about my hair style.
I usually wear my hair twisted in for 5 days then twist out for 2 days. For the first twist-out day, I wear my twists as is usually stretched out. I have naturally big, thick hair so I reveal the moments I see my hair looking smooth and hanging sleek.
The first night of my twist-out I separate the twists, apply my leave-in concoction, and re-twist the hair in medium twists. For the second day of my twist-out, my hair is voluptuous. My curls are defined, soft to the touch, and full of volume. At nighttime, I will repeat the same steps but further separate the hair.
I have found this series of separations to be my best arsenal in hair retention. By finger detangling over the course of 2 days, I’m able to PATIENTLY detangle my hair in preparation for my pre-poo. When applying my pre-poo, I also gently finger detangle my hair. Therefore, I am detangling my hair in 3 separate times prior to shampooing.
Can you say hair retention? Lol! My fingers are the best hair tool I have used in growing strong, healthy hair.
Love and peace, Peace and love,
